Doppelganger

Last week was Doppelganger Week on Facebook. Right and left people were changing their on-screen photos to display the celebrity they thought they resembled.

I watched my friend Ross morph gracefully into Bill Clinton. I witnessed the adorable Beth become Lesley Anne Warren. I noticed the inimitable Rob transform into Nicholas Cage. I saw the always entertaining Eric turn into Seth Rogen. All amusing and entertaining, but I sat this one out. I didn’t think I had a doppelganger.

And then. Unexpectedly. I came out of the shower this morning and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. My hair was still wet, slightly towel-dried, and there it was: Lyle Lovett.

I have a celebrity look-alike after all! Now if only I could sing like he does, I’d have something to talk about.

  1. HAHAHA! Tooo funny. I couldn't think of one, either. Until Saturday, when I realized that I sound like Marge Simpson. OK--it's still not a look-a-like, but I have her "grrr" down perfectly, so that has to count for something, right?

  3. Ha.

I had no idea that was going on over at Facebook. I guess it makes sense over all the celeb pictures I was seeing.

  4. You crack me up! What a great sense of humor you have. I thought I could have a doppleganger too but I couldn't find a photo of Lassie.

  5. Hi! I've been wanting to visit your blog ever since I saw the name of it, which I love. Anyway, I took part in Doppelganger week, too, and had a tough time figuring out whose picture to put up: Audrey Hepburn? too presumptuous of me and far too skinny (although ages ago someone DID say I reminded her of A.H.) I finally settled on Molly Ringwald because I dressed like her character in 'Pretty in Pink' back in the 80's.
I like your Doppelganger better. Hilarious!

  6. Would you believe I never officially "followed" your page until today?
    I'm a crappy blog friend.
My apologies (and I'm sure you look nothing like that guy)

  7. Ha! I didn't do it. I'm not sure whose picture I'd put up. I'll have to think about this one.

  8. I got so addicted to it one day, I did ten pictures. It was fun but then I forgot all about it. I didn't change my facebook photo, though.

  9. I was afraid to try that one. I'm happy not having a famous twin, thank you.
