What Game Are We Here to Play?

Monday night was our monthly Bunco game. There were so many ‘senior moments’ I wonder if all of us made it home safely.

It was hilarious to see how often someone reached for the dice when it wasn’t her turn, failed to take the dice when it was her turn, forgot to write points down, and more. One player actually started to keep score from the top of the column instead of the bottom. (You had to be there.)

People forgot to get up and move to another table when it was required. People forgot to ring the bell when their team won. People forgot to eat their yummy snacks! --oh wait, no they didn’t… We ate. We do not forget to eat!

The errors got so bad we couldn’t stop laughing about them. I figure by next year at this time we’ll still get together on the second Monday of the month, we just won’t remember why…

  1. LOL I've never actually played Bunco, but my mother-in-law plays monthly with her friends every month and it sounds fun! Maybe I'll get invited next time!:)

  2. My MIL has a bridge group she's been a part of for almost fifty years. They haven't played bridge in forty of those years, but they still get together every single month. Amazing...

  3. Do they make senior sized dice?

    :-)

Just kidding. I'm in denial of needing bifocals so I would have fit right in.

  4. I'm pretty sure I was always the one messing up the bunco game, and I'm kinda freaking out what that means for the future. Can I come next month?

  5. That would probably be all things I'd do since I've never played Bunco before. I blame those moments on the fibromyalgia and kids.

  6. Hi Leah, I have a weekly meeting with friends to play geek role-playing games. Some members of this group has met for almost twenty five years. But, having started young, they're still mostly under 50. At 40 I'm in the middle ground. The youngest is a mere stripling at 29. Kids! Indigo

  7. I've never even heard of Bunco, but it sounds like it would be a blast just for the getting together part.
